Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Laure Schneider (“I”, “me”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit this website, book a session, or get in touch about Transformative Coaching or Art Therapy services. This policy covers the website and general enquiries; the confidentiality terms that apply once you become a client are set out separately in the Terms & Conditions.

Who I am

Laure Schneider is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach me directly at laure@lauretransformslives.com with any question about your data.

What information I collect

  • Contact details you provide through the contact form, email or WhatsApp — such as your name, email address and phone number.
  • Booking information when you schedule a free consultation or session through the booking system, including your chosen date, time and any notes you add.
  • Newsletter details — your email address, if you choose to sign up for “Letters of calm”.
  • Session-related information, once you're a client — covered in detail by the confidentiality section of the Terms & Conditions.
  • Basic technical information from visiting the website, such as browser type and general usage patterns — see the Cookie Policy for more detail.

How I use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and arrange consultations or sessions.
  • To send the monthly newsletter, if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep accurate, confidential client records for the safe and professional delivery of coaching and art therapy.
  • To meet legal, accounting or professional-body record-keeping obligations (including requirements from the HCPC and BAAT).

Legal basis for processing

I rely on your consent (for example, when you submit the contact form or join the newsletter), on taking steps to enter into or perform a contract with you (for bookings and client sessions), and on my legitimate interests in running a small private practice responsibly, alongside my legal obligations as an HCPC-registered practitioner.

Third parties and service providers

I use a small number of trusted third-party services to run this website and practice, including a booking/scheduling provider, payment processors (such as Stripe, PayPal or Square), email/newsletter software, and website hosting. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing purposes.

How long I keep your information

Client session records are retained in line with professional body guidance from the HCPC and BAAT, which generally recommends keeping therapy records for a number of years after the end of treatment. General enquiry and newsletter data is kept only for as long as needed, or until you ask for it to be deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or ask me to delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter). To exercise any of these rights, email laure@lauretransformslives.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you have concerns about how your data is handled.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how the practice or website works. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
